The Department aims to educate students in Economics, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to contribute to the advancement of the discipline through research and teaching. Economists study the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services - essential knowledge for today's business leaders and policy makers. Blending both theory and practical applications, the Department of Economics serves students preparing for related specialized professions (Honours, Specialization, Co-operative) as well as those interested in a generalized understanding of the discipline (Major, Minor programs).
